Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday for yesterday, I tried to log on ut couldn't. It's hard at the moment, so many adverts forfathers day. Hoped you liked the card mum got you, the words were beautiful.

We still miss you. Mum found some of your old ties and Bailey Ben went crazy. When I realised it was because he could smell you on the ties, I had to sniff them too!

A lot has happened since you went away, hope everyone with you is showing you the ropes. Keep you busy till we meet again.

hey dad,

Your 1st anniversary has come so by so quickly. SOmetimes it seems a day since we saw you, sometime it seems forever. Mum's doing ok, your plaque is up at LCFC now. Mum found some of your ties and Bailey Ben went crazy when he smelt them, he's such a lovely dog and great for mum.

We miss you, of course, that goes without saying, but it's too hard to say what is in our hearts. We love you.

For you Teresa..
He is Gone
You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on,
You can cry and close your mind be empty and turn your
back,
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes,
love and go on.

The Love That Never Dies

Hush my child, I hear you say,
Please don't cry for me that way
I am your dad, love you true
I am always here for you

As the tears roll down your cheek
As this day, completes this week
I stroke your hair, and draw so near
and whisper, I am always here

I am in spirit but love you still
Listen child, I always will
Death does not destroy that love
Simply steers it from above

I am with you now, at close of day
And as you dream, close by I'll stay
And when you waken, new day begun
I'm at your side, watch you greet the sun

Dry your tears, and smile for me
The smile I always loved to see
And though I cannot hold your hand
I'll tell you of the promised land

I am waiting here, for you my dear,
When time is right I'll meet you here
Where joy is all, and tears are none
And those who love, become as one

Don't ever think that we forget
We miss you all it's true, but yet
How can we grieve, we see you there
And see how very much you care

So hush my child, don't cry for me
We'll be together, one day you'll see
And when that day has finally come
As those who love, we'll be as one
